I love Montessori so much that when I graduate, I'm gonna pretend to be a little kid so
I can go here all over again.

Our children have been greatly enriched by the Montessori experience.
Their education has fostered a sense of independence as well as encouraging and developing
their ability to work with others. Both are enthusiastic when presented with new and challenging
lessons. Our kids love the Metro East Montessori School experience, and we encourage anyone interested to come
observe a classroom.

We loved how Montessori encouraged girls and boys equally in all tasks. Unlike many pre-schools,
there were no traditionally gendered toys, like trucks or dolls. There were simply caring teachers who
taught life skills, like cooking and cleaning, and intellectual skills, like reading and writing.
This was all done in a mixed-age environment in which children also learned to take care of each other.

My favorite thing about Metro East Montessori School was Odyssey of the Mind. I
also enjoyed working in small study groups and reading fun books in literature.
We often worked independently and had free choice of what to work on.
ODYSSEY OF THE MIND ROCKS.

We selected Montessori for our daughters because of its reputation for exceptional teachers and
creative learning environment. Our daughters started their educational experience without limitations
and continue to pursue whatever interests they encounter. We have wonderful memories of our years with Montessori.

As a grandmother of my first grandchild to attend the school, I'm
totally amazed at the results. My granddaughter is so bright and
polite and amazes everyone wherever I take her. This concept of
teaching is MAGICAL!!!! I wish I knew of this system of learning when
I had my children. Happily I can say, I will have two more
grandchildren starting this September.

My son spent six years at Montessori. Metro East Montessori School was a good fit for his energetic and social
personality. It was a good fit for me too. I have made just as many friends as he has. I have enjoyed
getting to know his classmate's parents, but I also had the opportunity to develop relationships with
parents from other classrooms through volunteering. Volunteering at the school filled my intrinsic need
to contribute to my community. I am a busy parent - full-time work with a spouse and three kids - yet
I have been able to find numerous and varied volunteer opportunities to fit into my schedule.
