Active involvement and participation is the most direct way for parents to share in their child’s growth and development. Our Parents' Group avails many opportunities for such parental participation. Throughout the year, the Parents' Group dedicates itself to many fundraising activities that help to enhance each child’s educational experience at Metro East Montessori School. All money raised by the Parents Group goes into the Parents Group Fund. They choose where the money goes, so join the group!

Each fall, families and friends of Metro East Montessori School enjoy each other’s company in a friendly trivia competition. Each year a new theme and new trivia categories and questions are chosen by a committee of volunteers. Parents can choose to participate by playing trivia or they can also participate as judges and scorekeepers.

The Gala will be our biggest fundraiser of the year! Our goal is to raise $10,000 to provide the school with already budgeted classroom supplies, staff appreciation and building improvements. The Gala will focus on raising money through ticket sales only. Everyone can simply relax, eat, socialize and enjoy a fabulously formal evening with the Metro East Montessori community.

Each purchase you make at Schnuck's makes money for the school. It's that easy!

Each spring we offer the opportunity for your family to update your home library! Collect your gently used books and trade them for "new' ones! Stay tuned for more info!

Although some of our Parents' Group Fundraisers are annual events, we also encourage parents to offer their own talents and ideas to our fundraising endeavors. Some past fundraisers include a silent auction and dinner, Scholastic Book Fair, Market Day, Avon Sales, magazine sales, garage sales, school spirit clothing, and car washes.
